Privacy Policy

How Lyra Current handles personal information provided through this website and our business communications.

Last updated: 31 August 2026

1. About this policy

Lyra Current Pty Ltd respects privacy and aims to handle personal information responsibly and transparently. This policy describes our current information-handling practices and is intended to reflect common Australian privacy principles, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you contact or work with us, we may collect:

  • your name, work email address, role and organisation;
  • information you choose to include in a consultation brief or other enquiry;
  • correspondence, meeting details and other business communications;
  • technical information generated when the website is used, such as IP address, browser or device information, request metadata and security or diagnostic logs.

Please do not send passwords, API keys, access tokens, payment-card data or other credentials through the consultation form or ordinary email. We do not ask visitors to provide sensitive information through the public website unless it is genuinely necessary and an appropriate method has been agreed.

3. How we collect information

We generally collect personal information directly from you when you submit the consultation form, send us an email, speak with us, attend a meeting, request a quote or otherwise communicate with Lyra Current. Limited technical information is also generated automatically by normal website, hosting and security operations.

4. Why we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and arrange consultations;
  • understand business requirements and prepare proposals or project discussions;
  • provide, administer and support agreed services;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot and maintain our website and business systems;
  • keep appropriate business records and meet legal or regulatory obligations; and
  • communicate with you about matters relevant to an existing business relationship.

The website does not currently use behavioural advertising trackers or marketing analytics cookies. If our practices materially change, we will update this policy.

5. Website consultation form and service providers

The public consultation form sends your submitted information to Lyra Current's backend service and then delivers it to our business mailbox for personal review. The form does not store the enquiry in browser local storage, session storage or a website business database.

We use reputable service providers to operate the website and communications, including Vercel for website hosting and Microsoft services such as Azure and Microsoft 365 for backend and business communications. Those providers may retain limited operational, security or diagnostic information under their own service arrangements.

6. Disclosure and overseas processing

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our business, deliver services, protect our systems, comply with law or obtain professional advice.

Some providers operate globally. Vercel may process technical website information in the United States and other jurisdictions in which it operates. Microsoft business cloud services may store data in the configured geographic region while support, security and approved subprocessor arrangements can involve other locations. We take reasonable care when selecting and configuring service providers and will update this policy if our material data-handling arrangements change.

7. How we protect and retain information

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a small software business, including access controls and reputable managed cloud services. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, legitimate business record-keeping, dispute management, security or legal obligations, after which it may be deleted or de-identified where appropriate.

8. Access and correction

You may ask us to provide access to personal information we hold about you or to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

9. Privacy questions and complaints

For a privacy question, access or correction request, or complaint, email privacy@lyracurrent.com.au. Please provide enough information for us to understand the issue. We will review the matter and respond within a reasonable time.

If the Privacy Act applies to the matter and you remain dissatisfied after contacting us, you may have the right to raise the issue with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its latest update date.
